Fire Alarms

Ranging from the small conventional style system design for commercial and domestic properties through to the latest technology analogue / addressable detection systems for large industrial and commercial applications.

At IPS we have experience in working on all systems, including Apollo, Hochiki, Gent, Notifier, Protec, Chubb, ADT to name but a few. We can design, supply, install, commission and service a fire system for you. Nothing is too small or big that will prevent us from providing you with the right solution for your business. We also provide Fire Alarm Maintenance and Fire Alarm Testing services.

We offer a wide range of fire alarm panels to meet your every need. We won't sell you a closed or managed protocol product that ties you up for years to come and exposes you to high ongoing costs. At IPS we are happy to service and maintain your fire alarm system to BS5839 part 1, 2008 and will visit your premesis to carry out a free survey to enable us to provide you with the annual costs.

But you can do a check yourself, just count up all your call points, smoke and heat detectors, bells/sounders and put the total in the quotation section and see how our prices compare with your current provider, you may be very surprised!  Also don't forget to ask about our Fire Alarm Servicing!

Fire Extinguishers

Fire Extinguisher Testing is essential as under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 which identifies that the responsible person must provide general fire precautions including the provision of means to fight fire.

• Ensure all units are fit for purpose
• Inspect the unit, nozzle and hose for function
• Verify the function of the all moving parts, including gauges, tubes and valves are all operating correctly
• Replace all anti-tamper tags
• Check that every unit is within its ‘use-by’ date
• Clean and complete the label on the extinguisher
• Ensure that all photo luminescent signs are present to the extinguisher location
• Where necessary, recommend replacements or additional units

Emergency Lighting

The British Standard for emergency escape lighting systems is BS5266-8:2004. Compliance with this standard will assist users in meeting the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.

It's recommended that 'regular servicing' of emergency lighting systems 'is essential' to ensure that they are maintained in a good working order. This should involve frequent user inspections, as well as annual testing and inspections undertaken by a 'competent person'.

IPS Ltd test and maintain emergency lighting systems in accordance with BS5266-8:2004. Our annual test and inspection includes:

• Test each luminaire in emergency mode
• Producing an asset register of your emergency lighting system
• Testing of luminaries for their full duration
• Checking of charging arrangements for proper functionality
• Full recording of findings documented in log book
• Production of Certificate of Inspection by a 'competent person'
• Recommendations for any remedial work required

CCTV

At IPS Ltd, we believe that every CCTV installation is different.  The needs of the small shop owner differ to the needs of the large office block.  With this in mind, we can install and maintain a whole range of CCTV equipment from the single camera system through to the new HD (High Definition) IP Networked camera installations whith recording on dedicated RAID/Server units.

We undertake the initial survey work for you and establish through consultation your requirement and expectations from the proposed system.  This is a very fast paced sector with the marketplace for equipment and technology changing rapidly; we aim to provide our clients with the best possible equipment to suit their requirements and budget.

Access Control

IPS Ltd can provide a range of access control systems from individual stand alone door solutions to multi door/building networked software based systems. All options can use coded keypads, swipe card , proximity or fingerprint technologies

Over the years we have installed and maintained systems including single door requirements to one handset, to very large multi building door entry/access control solutions with Concierge involvement.
